Eating the right food after an intense workout session is way more important as it helps you to recover, build muscles, refuel, and prepare you better for your next workout session. Healthy workout sessions require proper nutrition so that the working muscles can be refueled properly.

Your muscles use all the glycogen energy stored in them while you workout and when strength workouts are performed, even some of the muscle proteins get damaged.

For repairing the muscle proteins and to recover the used glycogen stores, eating the right combination of carbohydrates, protein, vitamins, and minerals is very crucial. But what and when to eat is totally dependent on what type of workout you performed, for how long you did, and what was the intensity.

For maintaining good health with a good body, it’s quite important to consume the right meals.

After endurance activities like cycling or running, meals rich in carbohydrates is recommended while after strength training sessions, it is important to consume protein with moderate carbohydrates, and so on.
