Mangoes and summers is the best combo. Mangoes are the only reason I love summers.

Calories you gain from pizza and pasta, skipping breakfast, excuses for daily exercise, sugary drinks and alcohol may be the reason. So there is no need to blame mango. Mango has lots of benefits you may not know and if it should be eaten in the right amount and right way, you are not required to leave your favorite fruit. It contains a lot of nutrients like vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E, several other minerals and is rich in antioxidants.

Mango contains a highly soluble dietary fiber called pectin that reduces the risk of the gastrointestinal tract. A bowl of sliced mangoes of 165gm contains 76% vitamin C required daily. Antioxidants protect cells from radical damage and reduce the risk of cancer.

It has vitamin A that improves eye health and reduces dryness, blindness issues.

It is used in many cosmetic creams and caters to a great complexion to the dull skin. If the pulp of a mango rubbed gently on the face, it removes acne and dark spots.

It holds vitamin E that regulates sex drive and regulates sex hormones.

It contains a lot of fibers. Mangoes also contain amylase, which is a digestive enzyme, that enhances metabolism and helps in digestion.

If you are still fat then keep in mind then eat it as whole fruit and not consume it as a smoothie or shake. And if the mango is large then share it. Don't consume it if you have cholesterol.

2. Diabetes

A diabetic person can also eat sliced mangoes in oats or muesli or if you are eating it as a whole then eat a few nuts after it that will help to balance the sugar level. Eating it as a whole or consumption in large amounts increases sugar level.

3. Indigestion

Eating a lot of unripe mangoes can cause indigestion and dysentery.

4. Avoid in arthritis

People having arthritis should keep the consumption of mangoes to the minimum as it can worsen the situation.

Pro Tip:  Never drink cold water after eating mangoes as it can cause sap and makes it more irritant.

So, enjoy the mangoes in the right amount and enjoy summers. It is the only fruit on which India organizes a festival every year like Thailand celebrates pineapple festival, Germany celebrates the festival of pumpkin and cranberry festival is celebrated in Canada. This year the Delhi International Mango Festival date is in July at Dilli Haat, Janakpuri in Delhi but due to COVID-19, it is not confirmed to happen.
