1. Vivekananda Memorial: It visiting time starts at 7 am and ends at 5 pm. If you are a traveler it is must to visit this place once. It is pinpointed at 400m offshore in Vavathurai area. It is also known as rock memorial as it is built on the rock on which Swami Vivekananda attained the enlightenment. These rocks are surrounded by the Laccadive Sea. It has two Mandapam that are Vivekananda Mandam and Shripada Mandapam (it is believed that it has the footprints of Goddess Kumari). Shripada Mandapam attracts the large no. of devotees and stunning views from this rock attracts the travelers.

2. Kumari Amman Temple: Main temple of the town that notably bestowed to the name of the destination itself. A beautiful temple dedicated to Kanya (virgin girl) Goddess Kumari. A great no. of devotees visits here on a daily basis. Amazing sound of waves from the seas crashing can be heard easily accompanied by the stunning views around. There are many small beaches also in the shoreline of this temple.

3. Gandhi Memorial: Opens from 7 am to 7 pm. It is beautifully structured in the Odishan styled temples which comprised the ideas of Hindu, Christian and Muslim architects. It is painted in red-cream combination. It is believed that it is the place where the ashes of Mahatma Gandhi before plunged them into the sea. Although this is the place which attracts Historians or the people who are keen about history it is a place where you can enjoy the stunning view of the sunset.

4. Kanyakumari Beach: Kanyakumari is also popular for the beaches that beautify the shoreline of the town. This beach is located at the great point where the Bay of Bengal, the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean meets – Triveni Sangam. Here you can enjoy the beautiful Sunrises and sunsets. It looks like on the soft golden sand and glittering waters of the sea passionately kisses the horizon. The moment when you hear the sound of unruly waves hitting the rocks is really marvelous.
